It is understood that, at 4 p.m. on August 20, a boiler exploded in the urban hospital of Changzhi city in Shanxi province, causing a serious accident with 3 deaths and 17 injuries, sounding an alarm for everyone. According to this, the Haikou quality supervision department will conduct a comprehensive inspection of the boilers in use in Haikou, combined with the reasons for the Changzhi boiler accident. This can also be used for inquiries. It is reported that starting from today, the Haikou quality supervision department will inspect all the boilers in use in the city. Currently, there are a total of 530 registered boilers of various types in use in Haikou. Although the vast majority of these boilers in use are safe, there are still a few "dead corners" in supervision such as makeshift boilers in some urban-rural fringe areas and suburbs. This time, the Haikou quality supervision department will carry out special rectification work on special equipment in production enterprises, referring to the Changzhi boiler accident, focusing on investigating illegal and makeshift boilers. During the inspection period, any makeshift boilers that cannot provide relevant certificates or have not been inspected and approved by authoritative departments will be dismantled on the spot.
