Common faults of the water sprinkler truck self-priming pump:

1. Water sprinkler truck motor section:

1) No response after power is connected. This is mostly due to a short circuit in the power plug, power lead, or motor winding.

2) Difficult to start or cannot start, accompanied by a "buzzing" sound. During inspection, you can quickly rotate the fan blades in the running direction with a small bamboo piece. If the motor runs quickly, it indicates that the starting capacitor or starting winding is damaged and should be replaced with a similar capacity capacitor or repaired starting winding; if the motor is jammed, it may be a mechanical fault in the motor and pump head, such as bearing damage or impeller jamming.

3) The motor can run, but the speed is slow, and the casing overheats with a burnt smell. This is mostly due to a short circuit in the motor winding, which requires disassembling the motor and repairing based on the damage situation using methods such as welding, jumpering, isolating, or rewinding.

4) High noise and vibration during operation. This is mostly due to bearing damage or improper fit between the bearing and the casing. The motor needs to be disassembled for inspection. If the bearing is damaged, it should be replaced; if the bearing runs externally, the mating surface of the pump housing can be treated by chiseling; if the bearing runs internally, the worn part of the motor shaft can be treated by chiseling. For severe wear, repair by first welding and then machining.

2. Water sprinkler truck pump head section:

1) The motor operates normally, but the water output is low or almost none. In this case, the seal of the water sprinkler truck pump should be checked first. During inspection, disconnect the power plug first, block the water inlet with your hand, fill the pump with water, and blow hard into the outlet with your mouth to observe if there is any leakage in the pump head. The leaking area is also where the seal is damaged. Common fault areas include the water inlet gasket, water outlet gasket, and impeller cover gasket. These should be replaced during maintenance. If there is no water leakage, it might be due to impeller damage, erosion of the partition between the water intake and outlet chambers, wear of the pump head partition, or increased clearance between the impeller and pump shell. In such cases, replace the impeller and pump shell. When replacing the impeller, make sure to completely remove any remaining copper blades inside the pump to prevent damage to the new impeller.

2) Electric shock from the casing. This is mostly due to water seal damage, allowing water to seep through the motor shaft into the motor, deteriorating its insulation. This can be repaired by replacing the water seal or drying the motor. It is important to note that since the pump is constantly exposed to water and works outdoors, it is prone to moisture, causing deterioration of insulation performance. To ensure personal safety, the electric water sprinkler truck self-priming pump should be reliably grounded.
