A heartwarming scene unfolded in Beijing when a passerby returned money they had picked up to Jiang, a woman who had fainted in shock. The touching moment was captured on camera by Gong Jianjun.

According to reports, Ms. Jiang from Hongze County had just withdrawn 8400 yuan in hundred-yuan bills from an ATM. By accident, she dropped the stack of cash which was then scattered by the wind. Shocked by the incident, Jiang fainted on the spot. Fortunately, passersby came to her aid, voluntarily helping to collect the scattered money. About ten minutes later, the entire sum of 8400 yuan was returned intact to Jiang, who was still unconscious.

Mr. Gong recounted that at 11:30 AM on the 25th, he was about to withdraw money from a postal savings bank located on Beijing Road in Hongze County. Just as he parked his car, he witnessed a woman withdrawing a large amount of cash from the ATM and walking out while counting the money in her hand, preparing to put it into her bag. Perhaps too engrossed in counting the money, she failed to notice the step beneath her feet, stumbled, and dropped the stack of bills, which were then blown all over by the wind. Seeing the cash scattered everywhere, the woman immediately fainted.

Mr. Gong noted that it happened during the peak hours of students leaving school and employees finishing work, so there were many passersby. However, what followed was a touching scene: students leaving school and employees finishing work all stopped to help. Some waved their hands in the air trying to catch the flying bills, others squatted down to pick them up from the ground, and some even crawled under nearby parked cars to retrieve the bills that had been blown there. This process lasted for more than ten minutes.

What moved Mr. Gong was that after collecting the money, the citizens gathered together, helped the fainted woman into the bank, and waited until she regained consciousness before handing over the collected money. After jointly counting with the bank staff, it was confirmed that all 8400 yuan had been fully returned.

It was later learned that the woman's name is Jiang Shimai, from Hongze's Wanji area. The money she withdrew was sent by her brother working out-of-town for building a house. When she saw the money being blown away, her first reaction was that it would be impossible to recover, leaving her unsure how to face her brother, which caused her to faint out of panic.
