In the TV animation "Match to the Galaxy", despite having a different title from the novel, the story still revolves around a sixth-grade elementary school boy, Shou Ota, who loves playing soccer. Due to insufficient personnel, his affiliated soccer team "Peach Mountain Ultimate Warriors" is forced to disband, leaving him very disheartened. Not long after, he accidentally meets a female professional soccer player named Misaki, which reignites his idea of reassembling a soccer team.
Then, he gradually gathers Erica, a new student with lightning speed, and the three brothers Aya who were his former teammates. Although they have reformed the team and are ready to challenge the professional girls' elementary school team, an event causes the newly formed "Peach Mountain Ultimate Warriors" to once again face the fate of dissolution. Fortunately, at this time, Shou Ota encounters a legendary man! This inspires him and his teammates to aim for the "World Champion" goal, striving wholeheartedly towards the sunset!
