Railway, Shanghai Daguan Garden Scenic Spot
The two main passenger railway lines passing through Shanghai are the northern Huning Line (a section of the Jinghu Line) and the southern Huhang Line. Most trains on the Huning Line stop at Shanghai Railway Station, while those on the Huhang Line stop at Shanghai South Railway Station. In addition, Shanghai West Station and Melong Station ceased passenger operations when Shanghai South Railway Station was completed. The renovated Shanghai West Railway Station reopened on July 1, 2010, and will become one of the major stations on the Huning Intercity Railway along with Shanghai Railway Station. Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station will serve as the terminal for the Jinghu High-Speed Railway, Huhang Passenger Dedicated Line (Shanghai section of the Hukun Passenger Dedicated Line), Huhang Maglev, Huhang Intercity Railway, and the planned Shuhu Intercity Railway, as well as another Shanghai terminal for the Huning Intercity Railway.
