The Man in Black Assaults Someone on the Street with a Gun
On October 17, Saturday night, the streets of Hechuan City were lively. In the middle section of Putao Street in Heyang City, outside the District Teacher Training School, many people were enjoying barbecue delicacies. Suddenly, a Chang'an car drove up, and two menacing men got out with a young woman, heading straight toward a group of young men and a young woman.
The two groups started wrestling together. The two men who arrived in the Chang'an car were clearly at a disadvantage. One of them, dressed in black, had his right hand injured. Suddenly, he pulled out a handgun from his waist and aimed it at an opposing knife-wielding man.
"Gun!" In the shocked gazes of the crowd, the man in black turned the gun barrel toward a woman several meters away. He approached her and fiercely struck her head with the gun's handle, causing blood to gush out of her head instantly. Pointing the gun at the other approaching men, the man in black shouted, "Which fool dares to step forward? I'll take him down..." Amidst the stunned expressions of everyone, the man in black climbed into the Chang'an car with his group and drove away arrogantly.
A Beauty Salon Employee Causes a Mass Brawl Over Seating
News of the gun case that occurred late at night in Heyang City quickly reached the 110 Alarm Command Center. Upon receiving the alarm, the Criminal Investigation Brigade of Hechuan District Public Security Bureau promptly formed a special investigation team. During the analysis meeting that evening, the police believed that although the gun was not fired, judging by how its handle could instantly injure someone’s scalp, it was very likely either a realistic replica or a semi-automatic imitation firearm. Conversely, the possibility of it being a toy gun used to scare people was almost zero.
After overnight investigations, the police learned that the female victim injured by the gun handle, named SiSi, worked at the same beauty salon as another woman nicknamed "Xue'er." That evening, due to a dispute over a sofa seat, the two women quarreled. Subsequently, both called their boyfriends, claiming they wanted to teach each other a lesson. Following this, both groups clashed in the street until the man in black pulled out his gun.
During the investigation, besides "Xue'er's" nickname, no one could provide her real name. Finding "Xue'er" in the vast Heyang City based solely on her nickname was undoubtedly challenging.
The dedicated officers didn’t lose heart. They mobilized station-based officers, public security officers, and urban criminal investigation officers to fully trace "Xue'er's" real identity. Soon, the police found "Xue'er" in the archives of drug addicts at the rehabilitation center. Her real name was Li Xiaohua (a pseudonym), from Beibei District, who had previously undergone mandatory rehabilitation at the district rehab center.
Upon investigation, it was found that Li Xiaohua's boyfriend was nicknamed "Little Tangwa," from Dongjintuo, Nanzhen Street Office in Hechuan District, also a drug addict. The man in black who used the gun that night was not "Little Tangwa" but one of his brothers.
The Police Solve the Case in 20 Days, Arresting Both the Person and the Gun
After several days of arduous tracking, at around 4 PM on November 4, the police arrested Li Xiaohua and her boyfriend "Little Tangwa" near the Yuhe Gas Station on Nanjin Street. Soon after, both confessed to organizing the mass fight that night and admitted that their friend Yang used a gun to injure the opposing side. However, both Li Xiaohua and "Little Tangwa" insisted that Yang used a fake gun that night to scare the opponents.
When the special investigation team asked whether they had seen the alleged toy gun that night, discrepancies began to emerge in their statements—Li Xiaohua claimed she hadn't seen it, only hearing Yang say it was a toy gun; "Little Tangwa" said he had seen it but couldn't describe any features of the gun.
They were lying! That night, the special investigation team quickly located two residences of Yang in Dongjintuo. It was found that Yang had been punished by the police for robbery before and possessed strong counter-investigation awareness. After meticulous planning, at around 11 PM that night, the special investigation team arrested Yang at the "Li Erwa" beer stall outside Xingzhi Middle School on Nanjin Street.
At first, Yang staunchly claimed that he had only used a toy gun that night. However, the special investigation team exposed all his lies one by one, eventually forcing him to admit his guilt. He confessed that he had hidden the involved steel ball gun in a bamboo forest on Baota Mountain where his grandmother lived.
Early on November 6, the special investigation team retrieved the gun Yang had hidden.
