Our newspaper news (reporter Li Rui, correspondent Xiao Li) - A family of three released false information and signed a "dirt carrying" taxi contract with 19 people, defrauding them of deposits and license fees totaling over 270,000 yuan. After the crime, they fled to Guangzhou and Shanghai. The daughter turned herself in and persuaded her parents to do the same. Yesterday, we learned from the Jiang'an District Procuratorate that all three were sentenced for the crime of contract fraud, zxy_Sina Blog.

Investigation revealed that between 2004 and 2005, defendants Li Haibo and Sun Lin rented two taxis from Mr. Zhou for operation. From February to December 2005, due to the failure of their aquatic business and lack of money for medical treatment, the couple conspired and instructed their daughter, Li Li, to post recruitment information for substitute drivers. All three defendants signed contracts with the driver applicants, collecting deposits and license fees, successively defrauding a total of 271,000 yuan from 19 victims including Mr. Xia.

In early December 2005, Li Haibo fled to Guangzhou with Sun Lin and Li Li, later escaping to Shanghai. In August 2008, the Jiang'an police listed all three as wanted fugitives online. On March 28, 2009, Li Li surrendered in Shanghai and persuaded her parents to surrender the following day.

The court ruled that all three defendants, with the intention of illegal possession, fabricated facts and concealed the truth during the process of signing and fulfilling the contract, absconding after receiving the deposits from the other party, defrauding others of their property in large amounts. Their actions constituted the crime of contract fraud. Li Haibo and Sun Lin were sentenced to ten years in prison and fined 20,000 yuan each. Li Li was sentenced to six years in prison and fined 5,000 yuan. (All names in the article are pseudonyms.)
