Xiaoyanzi, who grew up on the streets, and Ziwei, a talented young lady, meet by chance in the capital city and become friends. The two accidentally switch identities. After entering the palace, Xiaoyanzi discovers that the "foreign devil" she once fought with on the street is actually the court painter Benjamin. Fearing that Benjamin might reveal her true identity, Xiaoyanzi engages in many "cat and mouse" games with him inside the palace. Through these "wonderful encounters," Benjamin becomes deeply attracted to Xiaoyanzi's unique charm.
Wu'ge Yongqi, who is like a brother to Benjamin, initially feels deeply remorseful after injuring Xiaoyanzi with an arrow. Erkang takes Ziwei to their exclusive secret hideout, where amidst flower seas, grasslands, emerald lakes, and serene valleys, they witness their eternal vows.
Xiaoyanzi, transitioning from a street performer to a princess in the palace, struggles to adapt to her new lifestyle, creating one comedic situation after another. Her unfiltered speech earns her the deep enmity of the Empress. Unaware of the danger she has placed herself in, Xiaoyanzi remains carefree. Yongqi and Benjamin frequently find themselves scrambling to save her, causing quite a stir.
