At about 2 p.m. yesterday noon, a passer-by saw the old lady fall onto the vacant land on the right side of the outpatient building, with a pair of shoes falling off. The window on the third floor stairwell was pushed open. Then, the medical staff of the emergency department rushed to the scene, proving that the old lady had died, and recognizing that the old lady was a patient sent at around 10 a.m., who was Sichuan person and 86 years old.
A doctor from the Medical Department of the hospital told reporters that at around 10 a.m. yesterday, the old lady accidentally fell and hit her head while shopping at the Jusco Supermarket on Dongxiaonan Road. Then, the Jusco staff accompanied the elderly's family and the police to send the elderly to the emergency room of Sun Yat-sen Second Hospital for treatment nearby.
"We did a CT scan for the old lady, and everything was normal. The old lady's mental state was also good at that time, but her head was just broken by collision." The doctor said that the hospital treated the elderly's wounds and then let her infuse in the emergency room, suggesting that the elderly observe for a period of time.
It is understood that the daughter-in-law has been accompanying the elderly after the elderly fell down. At about 1 p.m. at noon, the old lady who was infusing in the emergency room on the first floor strongly requested her and other family members to have lunch. The tragedy happened afterwards. A doctor saw that shortly after the daughter-in-law left, the old lady pulled out the infusion needle by herself and left the infusion room alone. "After diagnosis, there was indeed no major problem, but we don't know why she deliberately asked the family to leave," a doctor said.
When the reporter interviewed yesterday afternoon, the son who was still on a business trip elsewhere hurriedly went to the hospital upon hearing the news. According to the old lady's fellow countryman from Sichuan, the relationship between the elderly and her son and daughter-in-law had always been good. "There were only two days away from the old lady's 86th birthday, and the family had already prepared a birthday cake to celebrate the old lady's birthday. We didn't expect that such a thing would happen."
According to the information from the Haizhu police, the old lady attempted suicide before, and the police believed that the old lady's fall belonged to suicide. The family had no objection to this conclusion.
