China News Service, August 12 - According to British media reports, after a British man quarreled with his girlfriend, he angrily threw her towards the glass window. The window glass was broken, but he himself was stabbed by large pieces of glass and died from excessive bleeding.
The incident occurred in the Regent Street area of London's West End. Witnesses said that around 2:00 AM local time on the 11th, they saw a man and his girlfriend arguing. In anger, the man pushed his girlfriend against the shop window three times.
After several violent impacts, the window glass shattered, and both fell to the ground. The man was stabbed by shards of glass. The public quickly stopped a police car patrolling near the intersection where the incident occurred to seek help. Subsequently, medical personnel also arrived at the scene, but failed to save him. It is believed that the man died due to severe arterial injuries and uncontrollable bleeding.
The woman who was pushed and injured was also taken to the hospital for treatment. She had several cuts on her body, but there was no danger to her life.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said that shortly before the incident, at around 2:15 AM, the police received a report from the public while on patrol that there was an argument on Great Marlborough Street.
When the police arrived at the scene, they found a man who was believed to have "broken through" the store window and an injured woman. The police then called the London Ambulance Service, but the man had already died at the scene.
