Rocket Select the Coach
Delineation of the Final Three Candidates
The Rockets' process of choosing a coach has basically narrowed down to one of three situations. The final three candidates are incumbent Dallas Mavericks assistant Dwyane Casey, Jordan shoes assistant Lawrence Frank, and former Minnesota Timberwolves coach as well as General Manager Kevin McHale. An insider confirmed today that this argument holds true.
Casey served as head coach in Minnesota and is also expected to compete for the position of Golden State Warriors coach. The Warriors are one of the important competitors in the Rockets' coach selection process, having also gained the right to contact Frank. Currently, neither Frank nor Cathy is available for comment. At present, the Rockets' coaching schedule has not been set. According to internal sources, there is no rush to determine the new Rockets coach, but primarily because they want to have talks with Casey about Jordan 2010 shoes. However, this can only happen after the end of the Mavericks' season following the race. If the Rockets choose Casey, they must wait until he completes all his work with the Mavericks.
However, if the Mavericks agree during the playoffs to formally appoint Casey as coach, the Rockets have not made such an application to the Dallas Mavericks. If the Rockets were to make such a request, the Mavericks would accept it. Mavericks owner Mark Cuban says he will not comment on this hypothetical situation regarding Jordan 23 shoes.
