The 5-Year-Old "Dog Girl" Natasha

It is reported that Natasha's family consists of five adults, none of whom are currently employed. Natasha usually relies on cats and dogs to scavenge for leftover food from garbage piles to satisfy her hunger. Despite having a good appetite, she never uses a spoon to eat but instead prefers to lick the plate with her tongue. Due to living habits similar to a puppy, she has been called the "dog child" by locals.

This unfortunate little girl named Natasha Mikhailova was born in 2004. Since her parents divorced two and a half years ago, she currently lives with her father, grandparents, and other relatives in a three-bedroom apartment. A few days ago, after receiving an anonymous report from a neighbor, the Chita Interior Ministry immediately sent personnel to investigate. Walking into the dark hallway, the staff knocked on the fourth-floor door of Natasha's home. However, no one answered for a long time. Just as the staff prepared to break in, the door opened, and a foul smell rushed out. An old man walked out, preparing to take the dog for a walk. Seeing unexpected visitors, the old man immediately shouted at a girl crawling around on the floor, ordering her to go back inside quickly.

According to a worker from the Russian Interior Ministry, "Due to unpaid service fees, the electricity, water, and natural gas have already been cut off. The little girl's face wasn't washed, and her clothes were dirty, clearly showing cat and dog-like habits. After opening the door, the little girl jumped toward the police like a dog." According to the juvenile affairs inspector of the Chita Interior Ministry, Natasha's family keeps five dogs and four cats. Because she has lived alongside cats and dogs for a long time, although the little girl understands Russian, she cannot communicate normally like other children. However, she often makes "woof woof" or "meow meow" sounds. According to neighboring residents, Natasha has never been outside since birth. The adults in her family almost never let any outsiders enter their home.

On May 29, China.org.cn reported that according to the British Daily Mail on May 29, a 5-year-old girl in Chita Oblast in Russia's Far East became a true "dog child" due to lack of parental care and long-term coexistence with puppies. This girl cannot speak, licks food like a dog, and communicates with others through barking.

Currently, the "dog child" Natasha has been placed in the "Hope" Social Rehabilitation Center in Chita. According to medical staff, due to long-term malnutrition, the little girl looks much younger than her age, appearing to be only 2 or 3 years old. She rarely plays with other children and is very introverted. Specialized doctors are currently observing her. Whenever the caregivers leave, the little girl runs to the door and barks loudly. Russian police will file criminal charges against Natasha's parents. It is reported that, in fact, finding cases like Natasha's "dog child" is not the first time in Russia.
