Pickled Vegetable Superman: The Fifth - Pickled Vegetables and the Rose

One day, a few friends invited Pickled Vegetable to visit a nursery. In the nursery, Pickled Vegetable saw a flower, an exceptionally beautiful one. Its petals were like velvet, perfectly expressing the delicacy and perfection of life. Its color was vibrant yet dignified, as if it had accumulated energy for several lifetimes before modestly revealing itself. The flower was half-open, half-closed, embodying elegance, reserve, beauty, and grace all in its state of being on the verge of blooming.

This was truly a marvel that had fallen from heaven. Pickled Vegetable was stunned. Staring at the flower, he became lost, unaware of what year or month it was, who he was, or where he stood. At that moment, in his eyes, the world consisted only of that flower. "If I could live with this flower and see her every day, I would willingly die," Pickled Vegetable thought to himself. He asked the foxtail grass beside him what the flower was called. The foxtail grass told him that the flower was called a rose, and Pickled Vegetable memorized it deeply.

From then on, he began to learn everything about roses. One day, when someone told him that roses were of noble birth and had romantic characteristics, Pickled Vegetable felt a pang of pain in his heart. He knew that he was poor and had no connection to romance, let alone nobility. Although he had acquired some abilities, these couldn't change his identity. For the rose, he could only look up with admiration. Every time he thought about this, he hated his parents and resented fate for making him a pickled vegetable while letting him meet the rose.

"Destiny, you are too cruel!" Pickled Vegetable cried out in his heart, yet he was unwilling to give up. Since meeting the rose, he walked a long distance every day to the nursery, hiding outside the wall to secretly watch the rose. Each time he looked at the rose, he filled with hope but also with self-doubt. He wanted to express his love to the rose but lacked the courage. He feared rejection and the hurt it might bring. Yet not expressing his feelings made him unwilling. After suffering this pain for a long time, he came up with a plan. He sent the butterfly to deliver his message. This way, even if he was rejected, he wouldn't lose face. The butterfly went, and he waited anxiously for a reply. After a long wait, the butterfly finally returned with a message: "The rose said that unless Pickled Vegetable becomes a superman, she will not be with him."

The butterfly sighed as it spoke, but Pickled Vegetable was filled with joy. He saw hope. For the sake of the rose, he decided to start working towards becoming a superman from that moment on, until he transformed into a superman and married the rose.

People say that the power of love is strong, but in reality, the power of beauty is the strongest. Women go to great lengths for beauty, and men often do the same for beautiful women. Just look at Pickled Vegetable, and you'll understand.
