Before centipedes lay eggs, feeding should be stopped several days in advance, especially during the 40-50 day hatching period when feeding should be strictly prohibited. Otherwise, the centipede may eat the food that sticks to the egg mass or embryo and end up consuming the egg mass or embryo as well. The hatching process of the egg mass is relatively slow. After 15-16 days, the egg granules form a kidney shape and start to split open, marking the first molt. After 20 days, the second molt occurs, forming a crescent shape with the initial larval morphology. Around 35-40 days, the young enter the third molt and can crawl up and down within the mother's embrace. After another 5-7 days, the chitin of the young's exoskeleton gradually thickens, their body color turns yellowish-brown, and they live under the protection of the mother. After about a month, they can live independently and forage on their own.
In breeding centipedes, attention should be paid to possible viral infections that centipedes may encounter. On the other hand, breeders should also prevent themselves from being stung and poisoned by centipedes.
1. Preventing centipedes from disease: Due to poultry, rats, skinks, etc., which prey on centipedes, especially ants being the main natural enemy of centipedes, it is necessary to frequently observe whether there are any pests inside and outside the centipede field to prevent these natural enemies from invading and attacking the centipedes. To prevent ants from entering the pool, you can draw several circles around the pool with cockroach and ant powder pens, or mix one part camphor balls and one part vegetable oil with five parts sawdust, stir evenly, and often sprinkle a ring of this medicine powder around the exterior wall of the breeding pool. Especially during molting, egg-laying, or hatching periods, centipedes have very weak resistance and can easily be bitten to death by ants. If ants enter the pool, the centipedes should be quickly transferred and the ants boiled to death with boiling water.
Supported by Huazhong Agricultural University: As a key university under the national "211 Project", Huazhong Agricultural University has collaborated with Wuhan Agricultural Science and Technology Humin Biological Engineering Co., Ltd. to jointly research and promote scientific farming and enrich farmers through centipede breeding technology: Humin No. 2 Golden Head Centipede.
Advanced Technology Advantages: Through years of breeding observation, multiple biological experts and professors of biological engineering from Wuhan Agricultural Science and Technology Humin Biological Engineering Co., Ltd. and Huazhong Agricultural University have used advanced purification techniques and biological gene improvement projects to cultivate a new generation of varieties - Humin No. 2 Golden Head Centipede. Observations show that this variety is easy to breed, gentle in nature, strong in adaptability, fast-growing, highly reproductive, with better medicinal value and more significant economic benefits, making it an ideal investment breeding project for many breeders.
Complete Breeding Facilities: The company leverages its agricultural science advantages and life science characteristics, relying on experts and scholars from the Animal Science and Technology College, focusing on modern bioengineering, special breeding, and insect resource development at its core. It integrates research, breeding, teaching, promotion, technical services, production, sales, and import-export trade into a high-tech enterprise. It owns large-scale ecological breeding areas, solar room breeding areas, greenhouse breeding areas, and separate technical training centers, seedling breeding centers, seed source rooms, incubation rooms, and gene transfer rooms, providing excellent foundations and complete systems.
