According to the statistics of iResearch, the overall transaction scale of China’s B2B e-commerce reached 2.97 trillion yuan in 08, with a year-on-year growth of 42.2%, and the growth rate obviously slowed down. iResearch analyzed that under the influence of the financial crisis, the reduction in foreign consumer demand led to a decrease in China's export orders, which slowed down the growth of import and export trade. In addition, when the Chinese economy was in a downturn, domestic demand did not see a significant increase, which also made the scale of domestic trade transactions grow steadily but unable to offset the decline in foreign trade growth.

iResearch predicted that in 09, foreign consumer demand would still be in a low state, so the China B2B e-commerce market oriented towards exports would continue to grow at a decelerated rate; but starting from 2010, with the effectiveness of domestic policies to stimulate domestic demand and the gradual recovery of the world economy, both domestic and international consumption capacity and order demand would increase, and China's B2B e-commerce would also accelerate its development. It is expected that by 2012, the transaction scale will reach 9.72 trillion yuan.

As the core of e-commerce, foreign trade network marketing has created competitive advantages for small and medium-sized enterprises and brought new development opportunities. It has changed the traditional business model established by successful companies in the past and given emerging small and medium-sized enterprises great development space and a platform to explore competition. In the complex and ever-changing domestic and foreign economic environment, developing foreign trade network marketing has become an inevitable trend for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises. Every day, enterprises call us asking for students, but the current number of students cannot meet the needs of enterprises. Dean Du of the Foreign Trade Network Marketing and Industrial Design Branch of Beijing Science and Technology Management College told reporters: especially those with practical experience in foreign trade network marketing and who have participated in practical projects are particularly difficult to find. According to the recruitment position rankings on major recruitment websites, internet-related foreign trade network promotion talents rank among the top in terms of recruitment numbers.

The rapid development of the Internet has also put higher demands on the knowledge structure and training methods of professional talents in foreign trade network marketing. Successful models or companies on the Internet a few years ago may no longer exist today. Many cases and knowledge points in the talent training knowledge system of electronic commerce and international market marketing are outdated and can no longer meet the rapidly progressing Internet environment and the requirements for talents. This also puts higher demands on current training institutions, universities, and faculty members. Not only do our teachers need to strengthen their ties with enterprises, practice in enterprises, and participate in the foreign trade network marketing projects of enterprises to gain more practical experience and enhance the practicality of teaching. To meet the large demand for foreign trade network marketing talents, the Foreign Trade Network Marketing Branch of Beijing Science and Technology Management College has opened a foreign trade network marketing major. The college conducts teaching with real projects, and students can firmly grasp the skills needed for work through actual operations. There is a large demand for such practical talents in domestic export enterprises, and graduates are guaranteed employment and recommended to high-paying jobs in foreign trade export enterprises.

Due to the fact that the current innovation of China's e-commerce model is not yet perfect, making full use of the advantageous resources of professional third-party service providers to achieve the docking and integration of international e-commerce platforms is the bottleneck that needs to be broken through urgently and the key to innovation in the current e-commerce field. During this period, the urgent task for small and medium-sized enterprises is to pay necessary attention and support to the cultivation of professional talents with practical capabilities in foreign trade network marketing and should strengthen the training of foreign trade network marketing knowledge. Only by entering the field of foreign trade network marketing early can one seize development opportunities in time.
