The Samoyed dog himself doesn't feel it at all.

Although I have always wanted to have my own dog, so much so that I passed on this love for dogs to my daughter.

Xiaoshou was probably born on March 20th, 2010, and brought home from Qingzhou by Dao Yuan on May 6th. On May 10th, he received his first vaccine shot, and at the time, he weighed 6.1 jin (approximately 3 kg).

He is a real foodie. The day we brought him home, he ran over from the living room and clung to my leg. Because he had just changed environments, we couldn't bathe him yet, so he was dirty, but he didn't seem to mind at all. As a family, we brainstormed several names for him, but none of them seemed quite right. Suddenly, it occurred to us that he is a descendant of a Samoyed, so let's call him Xiaoshou.

When he is quiet, he looks like a little pitiful creature. He would go to the bathroom anywhere in the house, and when we scolded him, he would look at us with an innocent expression. After only four days, we were already exasperated because we didn't have time to take care of him.

But then again, the big one (possibly referring to another pet or child) would be upset, and the little one (Xiaoshou) would cry. Looking at myself, in just three or four days, I had started to develop an attachment to him. Whenever I saw him, I would feel happy; it was simply heart-wrenching.

I couldn't let him go now; let's see if there's a bond between us.

I remember the dog we kept when I was a child, its intelligence, its cleverness—these are things I can never forget or put down. Even though it didn't have a name or come from a noble lineage, its protection of me during my childhood stays vividly in my memory. With purebred Samoyeds, I know I will never forget them in my life. I hope my Xiaoshou can make up for the past that has gone by.
