A drop of water's favor, repay with a spring!      The continuous high temperature and less rain weather has led to the constant aggravation of the drought situation in the five provinces in Southwest China. The drought in some areas of Yunnan and Guangxi has reached the level of extraordinary drought. Guizhou Province has experienced continuous autumn and winter droughts, encountering a serious drought seen once every 80 years, while in some areas, the drought is even considered a once-in-a-century occurrence.    These days, the reports about the drought have been overwhelming. The captured scenes are heart-wrenching one after another. The earth has cracked, and the originally moist and fertile land now feels like rocks, making one doubt if it could be crushed even by large-scale crushers. The extensive planting of cash crops has disrupted ecological balance, leading to the outbreak of the drought. Some people believe that the rapid economic expansion has not only subjected the ecology to hellish damage but also slowed down our country's economy!  , steel strand,   Guiding County in Qiannan Prefecture, Guizhou Province, is one of the major tea-producing counties in Guizhou and also a famous tribute tea hometown in China. Its Yunwu Tribute Tea was once served as tribute tea for six dynasties: Sui, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing, deeply favored by the imperial court, and hailed by experts as "the best tea." In recent years, Guiding County has consistently regarded tea as the dominant agricultural industry, increasing support and implementing brand strategies, adopting a series of development measures. Tea production has initially taken shape, with a planting area reaching 50,000 mu (about 3,333 hectares), an annual tea production exceeding 504 tons, and an annual output value reaching 81.9 million yuan.    Since October 2009, the rainfall in Guiding County has been abnormally scarce, resulting in a severe drought. Since last October, the county has faced a once-in-a-century drought, with rainfall decreasing by 55.1% compared to the same period in previous years. The water storage volume of 21 small (second) type reservoirs and above has decreased by 80% compared to the same period last year. 20 towns and 95 administrative villages have been affected to varying degrees: 200,500 people face drinking water difficulties, and 64,000 heads of large livestock experience water shortages; crops over 237,000 mu (about 15,800 hectares) have been damaged, causing direct economic losses in agriculture and industry amounting to 1.55 billion yuan, with the survival rate of newly built tea gardens in the entire county being less than 5%.    A single disaster has significantly impacted the national economic development of our country, and this is just a part of it. Imagine how terrifying these data are. How many Guiding Counties have been affected? That would represent an enormous total economic value! We wish that we can unite and fight against this drought, allowing it to leave our homeland as soon as possible. Of course, it should be mentioned here that our ecology must absolutely not be sacrificed for the sake of our economy. The potential risks cannot be ignored. May everyone cherish our own home and may all contribute their love to those affected by the disaster.
