In the morning, after arriving at the company as usual, I checked the website ranking and then started to deal with the work at hand. Around noon, I heard someone in the group say that PR had been updated, so I took the opportunity to check my newly launched site http://www.seofuwuwang.cn, which you can also check out. I was very pleased to see that it had reached PR3 in just two weeks. Then I checked the older sites, like Beijing Online Marketing, and found that many of their PRs had dropped. However, the rankings and traffic of the websites remained unchanged, and many webmasters in the group also reported this issue. Through this PR update, I gained some insights and feelings about the overall understanding of Google PR over the past year of building websites. The following is just my personal experience and understanding, which may differ from yours, so please don't be offended.
1. Looking back on when I first started doing website optimization for Beijing Website Optimization, new websites had no friendly links to exchange. All I could do was create some URL collections and free blog external links, along with original content creation, and the PR value still increased quickly. When the website reached PR3-4, I exchanged a lot of high-weight friendly links. After this update, the PR not only didn't increase but also decreased. Here, I truly realized that original content is more important than exchanging friendly links. Friendly link exchanges can be skipped, but original content cannot!
2. Nurture multiple blogs for your own website; this is very effective. I have been studying free blogs for over a year now, and I currently nurture more than a hundred blogs that are all over half a year old. These blogs have all provided external links to my website. For every new site launch, I establish at least 10 blogs for the website. All the blogs are named after the website or URL, and I feel that this method works very well. Blogs that have been nurtured for over half a year play an important role in boosting PR!
3. Don't place too much importance on PR. As long as you put in effort + persistence + original content, PR will naturally increase quickly, and the website doesn't need any friendly links! At the beginning of setting up the website, I didn't know anything about PR. I just knew to keep putting in effort, updating daily, and of course, adding more original content, which is extremely important! There can be pseudo-original content, but it can't be pseudo-original every single day of the year! I deeply realize this since after the website's PR rose to 4, and I started working on a few other small sites, time became increasingly limited. Therefore, the website has gradually relied more on pseudo-original content, even if it is original, it consists of just a few short paragraphs without putting in the effort to write carefully. This has a significant relationship with the decline in PR for the older sites.
For future website optimization, I'll reiterate the old saying: "Persist in original content creation, let content be king, and focus on user experience." Beijing Online Promotion;
