At 8:30 PM on March 27th, the faculty and staff of Guangzhou PKU Chinghua Bird Xiangji Lide Campus, as the premier network engineering training school in Guangzhou, will turn off the lights for "Earth Hour." This is also in response to the World Wildlife Fund's call to protect the Earth, fulfill our duty, and raise public awareness about climate change issues. It is also aimed at making students understand the importance of cherishing natural resources around them.

It is reported that at 8:30 PM today, the Palace Museum, one of China's most important historical landmarks, will also turn off its lights for the "Earth Hour" event initiated by WWF (World Wildlife Fund). At that time, the Palace Museum will join international landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Empire State Building in New York, the London Eye Ferris Wheel, the Sydney Opera House, and the Grand Palace in Bangkok in turning off their lights for an hour.

In Beijing, other landmark buildings joining the Palace Museum in turning off their lights include the Silver Center, National Center for the Performing Arts, New World Center, and China International Trade Center. The National Stadium, also known as the Bird's Nest, will hold a light-off ceremony during a special charity event.

Guangzhou PKU Chinghua Bird Network Engineer Training School has participated without hesitation in this event. As the premier network engineer training center established in Guangzhou by a well-known IT education institution in China, the campus director stated that they should express their love for Mother Earth through their actions. This is also aimed at enhancing the basic qualities of the students. The principal of the school said that while students are learning skills and knowledge during their time at school, they are also actively cultivating their qualities. This global event can allow them to deeply feel the atmosphere.
