Features of Shun Tong soft-seal gate valve: Light weight, the body is made of high-grade ductile iron, and the weight is about 20% - 30% lighter than that of traditional gate valves, making installation and maintenance convenient. Flat-bottom valve seat: Traditional gate valves often cause water leakage due to foreign objects such as stones, wood blocks, cement, iron filings, debris, etc., which are deposited in the recesses at the bottom of the valve after water flushing, making it impossible to close tightly. The bottom of the soft-sealed gate valve adopts a flat-bottom design identical to the water pipe, making it less likely to cause debris deposition and ensuring smooth fluid flow. Integral rubber coating: The valve uses high-quality rubber for overall internal and external rubber coating. European first-class rubber vulcanization technology ensures precise geometric dimensions after vulcanization, and the rubber is firmly bonded with the ductile iron valve, not easy to fall off and has excellent elasticity memory. Precision cast valve body: The valve body is made by precision casting, and the precise geometric dimensions ensure the sealability of the valve without any fine processing inside the valve body. Embedded copper nut: The copper nut and elastic valve adopt embedded combination, making the two closely integrated into one, and will not loosen or be damaged due to vibration caused by water flow. Corrosion-resistant: The valve body is coated with powder epoxy resin, which can prevent corrosion and rust of the valve body and can also be used in sewage systems. Not easy to break: In the past, traditional cast iron gate valves often broke due to being hit by foreign objects, collision, or heavy pressure. Since the body has been changed to ductile iron, such situations can be significantly reduced. Three "O" ring seals: Due to the use of three "O" ring seals on the valve stem, friction resistance during closure can be reduced, greatly reducing water leakage and allowing replacement of the seal ring without stopping water supply. Suitable for drinking water: Since the inside of the valve body is coated with non-toxic epoxy resin, the inside and outside surfaces of the valve are completely covered with rubber without rust water or corrosion phenomena, making it suitable for drinking water. The opening and closing part of the soft-sealed gate valve is the gate, and the movement direction of the gate is perpendicular to the fluid direction. The gate valve can only be fully opened or fully closed, and cannot be used for regulation or throttling. The gate has two sealing surfaces, and the most commonly used mode of the gate valve's two sealing surfaces forms a wedge shape, with the wedge angle varying according to the valve parameters, usually 50, and when the medium temperature is not high, it is 2°52. The gate of the wedge gate valve can be made as a whole, called a rigid gate; it can also be made as a gate that can produce a small amount of deformation, to improve its manufacturability and compensate for the deviation of the sealing surface angle produced during processing. This kind of gate is called an elastic gate. The soft-sealed gate valve is also called a rising stem gate valve (also known as a visible stem gate valve). There is usually a trapezoidal thread on the rising stem, and through the nut at the top of the valve and the guide slot on the valve body, the rotational motion is converted into linear motion, that is, the operating torque is converted into operating thrust. When opening the valve, when the gate lift height equals 1:1 times the valve diameter, the fluid channel is completely unobstructed, but this position cannot be monitored during operation. In actual use, the top point of the valve stem is used as a mark, that is, the position where it cannot be opened further, as its fully open position. To consider the locking phenomenon caused by temperature changes, usually after opening to the top position, it is turned back 1/2-1 circle as the fully open position of the valve. Therefore, the fully open position of the valve is determined according to the position of the gate (i.e., stroke). This type of valve should generally be installed horizontally in pipelines. The soft-sealed gate valve produced by our company has significant advantages such as light and flexible switching, reliable sealing, excellent elasticity memory, and long service life. It can be widely used as a regulating and shut-off device in fluid pipelines in industries such as tap water, sewage, construction, petroleum, chemical, food, medicine, light textile, electric power, ships, metallurgy, and energy systems.
