Art created from scraps of metal and old junk

Human beings are getting more and more awesome, with increasingly strange ideas. In terms of scrap copper and iron, there's a gradual trend towards more refinement and complexity. I'm wondering, should our great artists of junk open a garbage recycling station for convenience?
