Today is December 29th, Saturday, and it's a sunny day. Since its inception, film has captivated countless audiences with its artistic charm. Movie posters, related to films, have always exuded their charm in various forms across all eras. Bi Yang, though not a movie enthusiast, has a unique fondness for collecting movie posters.

Bi Yang mainly collects movie posters of red classics. The movie "The Story of Liubao," is certainly familiar to everyone. This film was produced by the August First Film Studio in 1957 and tells the love story between a New Fourth Army soldier and a peasant girl named Er Mei. Looking at this colorful poster, it brings back memories of the movie's plot. Bi Yang said that this poster has a wide influence among the masses, attracting many renowned artists to hand-draw it, making it quite valuable.

Bi Yang: Due to its very limited issue, everyone wants to collect it. We spent five years acquiring it from a collector. Because it is hand-drawn by famous artists, the visual effect is excellent.

To produce this movie, the studio even selected the Phoenix Bridge in Longgang of our city as one of the filming locations. Next, we see the movie poster for "Railway Guerrillas" produced by the Shanghai Film Studio, which is also something we are all too familiar with. The introductions of characters like Liu Hong, Li Zheng, and Fang Lin Sao, the synopsis of the plot, and highlights of the film are vividly portrayed on the poster. Bi Yang said that movie posters have their own characteristics, and through a single poster, we can learn some brief stories about the movie.

Bi Yang: Posters have three features: specificity, artistry, and appreciativeness. Simultaneously, through a poster, you can appreciate the theme of a movie and also enjoy the artist's skillful brushwork. It can leave beautiful memories for middle-aged people and provide young people with a visual experience.

From the earlier "The Red Boy" and "Crossing the River Reconnaissance Record" to the 80s "Grand Ceremony of Founding a Nation" and "Great Decisive Battle," the realistic movie scenes, versatile performances of actors, and the presentation methods of the films are clearly visible on the posters.

Bi Yang has collected more than 1800 movie posters. He told us that due to their extremely limited issues, these hand-drawn movie posters by famous artists are very difficult to collect.

Bi Yang: Posters are not commodities. After being posted, there are very few remaining in existence. Now they have reached a state where there is a price but no market, making them extremely difficult to collect.
