Perhaps someone still remembers this ZEST all-plastic concept car, which was first launched at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show! Recently, it was reported that this all-plastic car invented by French researchers has finally gone on sale in the UK. Look at the car below; its appearance is somewhat similar to a convertible Beetle. It is currently priced at 8,000 pounds (approximately RMB 122,000). This plastic car weighs only 370 kilograms, one-third of an ordinary car, and is equipped with a 500cc, 20 horsepower engine, with a top speed of 100 km/h. This car has only two gears: forward and reverse, no transmission, and belt-driven. The reverse speed can be as fast as when moving forward. The car has no roof or doors, and the windshield is only half as high as that of an ordinary car. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that the entire car, including various internal components, is made of plastic, so there's no need to worry about rusting. The seats of the car are also waterproof, so even if it rains, you can safely park the car outdoors.
