Applying creams and lotions can only moisturize the skin; they cannot remove stretch marks.
Reporters once conducted a survey of 30 pregnant women and mothers. Nearly 70% of them said that to reduce and prevent the appearance of stretch marks after childbirth, they had used olive oil or other care products for stretch marks to varying degrees.
"Last week, we encountered a middle-aged woman with severe abdominal stretch marks. She has been using some skincare products for five years since giving birth, spending a considerable amount of money, but without any effect," introduced Ms. Yu Yanju, Director of the Dermatology Department at Orient Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and an expert in stretch mark and scar repair.
Ms. Yu Yanju said that when women become pregnant, their skin's elastic fibers and abdominal muscles start to stretch due to the enlarging uterus. When this stretching exceeds a certain limit, the elastic fibers break, causing irregular pink or purplish-red longitudinal cracks on the abdomen. After childbirth, although the broken elastic fibers gradually heal, it is difficult for them to return to their original state, and the original cracks on the skin fade, forming stretch marks.
Ms. Yu Yanju stated that the development of stretch marks depends on individual constitution and fetal size, and simply relying on care products to prevent or remove stretch marks is unrealistic because there are no authoritative studies showing that care products have a clear effect on preventing stretch marks. To a large extent, these products can only moisturize the skin, but cannot restore the abdominal muscles to their pre-pregnancy state.
Stretch marks can be removed; beauty doesn't have to be a thing of the past.
"We just successfully completed a treatment for removing stretch marks," said Ms. Yu Yanju.
According to Ms. Yu Yanju, two months ago, 22-year-old Xiao Mei consulted at the non-surgical center of Orient Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Xiao Mei was very beautiful with a great figure, but due to early marriage and childbirth, her abdominal stretch marks were "crisscrossed," making her abandon many fashionable clothes.
After learning that the American LuxeStar Fractional Laser could effectively remove stretch marks, she consulted at Orient Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Hospital, quickly deciding to undergo treatment after understanding the situation.
Orient Aesthetic adjusted the treatment parameters according to the depth and distribution range of Xiao Mei's abdominal stretch marks. After one fractional laser treatment, her abdominal stretch marks significantly improved. A month later, she underwent a second treatment, and to everyone's delight, her stretch marks almost disappeared after this treatment.
Ms. Yu Yanju indicated that the rapid cure of Xiao Mei's stretch marks was largely related to her early treatment after childbirth.
The earlier the treatment for stretch marks, the better the results.
"The first two years after childbirth are the best period for repairing stretch marks, and treatment should begin as soon as possible after childbirth," said Ms. Yu Yanju.
Ms. Yu Yanju pointed out that within the first year after childbirth, it is the strongest and most concentrated stage for the body's natural repair of stretch marks. The body automatically mobilizes collagen to replenish the stretch mark area, linking some incompletely broken elastic fibers. Using fractional laser treatment during this stage can achieve twice the result with half the effort. Like how the body naturally repairs wounds, taking treatment as early as possible can effectively promote the proliferation of collagen and the recombination of elastic fibers, reconnecting the broken elastic fiber tissues caused by uterine expansion and excessive abdominal stretching, thoroughly removing stretch marks, and restoring tightness and elasticity to the abdominal skin.
"Fractional lasers can also adjust different treatment parameters based on the patient's own characteristics of stretch marks and skin, easily meeting the different requirements of different patients," said Ms. Yu Yanju.
American LuxeStar Fractional Laser for stretch mark removal: safe and painless
The American LuxeStar Fractional Light is the latest computerized intelligent laser treatment technology introduced by Orient Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, specifically targeting stretch marks and hard-to-treat scars. Its unique 2940nm light wave has extremely strong penetration power. Through precise digital intelligent control, the rectangular focused action of the fractional laser is applied to the stretch mark and scar areas, with highly concentrated energy penetrating deeply into the dermis layer. This maximally stimulates the proliferation of collagen, prompting deep mesh-like fibers and elastic fibers in the stretch mark and scar areas to rearrange, thereby repairing scars and fading stretch marks.
"Using the American LuxeStar laser for stretch mark removal is completely painless, and the entire process is very quick, typically taking about 30 minutes for a typical treatment. For larger stretch mark areas, generally 3-4 courses of treatment are needed. The fractional laser can also shorten the treatment interval time based on the patient's physical condition and response," said Ms. Yu Yanju.
To verify the effectiveness of the American LuxeStar fractional laser treatment for stretch marks, the reporter contacted Xiao Mei, who had previously received treatment at Orient Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Xiao Mei told the reporter that she felt no pain during the treatment process, and even when the energy was set to the maximum, she only felt a warm sensation. The entire treatment was very comfortable and safe.
