Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, November 29th (reported by Zhao Chao) - The 2010 national civil service recruitment examination for central government agencies and their affiliated institutions was held simultaneously in 44 cities across 31 exam zones nationwide on the 29th. Nearly one million people participated in the exam.
The public subject test conducted that day was divided into two sections: the Administrative Professional Ability Test and the Essay Test, which were held in the morning and afternoon respectively. The Administrative Professional Ability Test mainly evaluates professional qualities closely related to civil servant careers, including elements suitable for assessment through objective paper-and-pencil tests. These primarily cover verbal comprehension and expression, quantitative relationships, judgment and reasoning, data analysis, and general knowledge judgment. The Essay Test is an examination designed to evaluate basic capabilities required for working in government offices, focusing on assessing candidates' reading comprehension, comprehensive analytical skills, problem identification and resolution abilities, as well as written expression.
According to reports, in order to create a good examination environment and ensure fairness and impartiality in the test, various examination departments utilized personnel examination websites, telephone consultations, warm reminders, banners, and slogans in multiple ways to strengthen the promotion of harmonious mindsets and civilized participation in exams. At the same time, local civil servant administrative authorities and examination institutions will collaborate with public security and radio management departments to increase on-site resources during the exam, severely cracking down on illegal behaviors such as cheating using radio equipment and the internet.
This recruitment process will strictly adhere to the "Provisional Regulations on Handling Violations and Irregularities in Civil Servant Recruitment Examinations" to further严肃 exam discipline, earnestly maintaining the fairness and justice of civil servant recruitment examinations, ensuring the establishment of a good civil servant recruitment examination environment.
It is understood that after the public subject test, relevant departments will promptly organize personnel to carry out grading work. It is expected that around mid-January 2010, the results of the public subject test, the score qualification line, and the list of candidates entering the interview and specialized subject examinations will be announced. At that time, candidates can check relevant information through the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security website and the State Administration for Public Service website.
