Shandong Qingyun County fire accident with 6 deaths: identities confirmed, data recovery; Xinhua News Agency, Jinan, November 19th (reported by Zhao Renwei) - At around 2 a.m. on November 19th, a fire broke out at the Jinnan Hotpot City in the urban area of Qingyun County, Shandong Province, resulting in 6 deaths and 3 injuries. According to our understanding, the 6 victims include 1 male and 5 females, among whom are the owners of the hotpot restaurant, Mr. Wu and his wife, while the rest of the deceased were all employees of the hotpot restaurant.
It is learned that the three injured individuals are all female. According to the attending doctor at Qingyun County People's Hospital, two of them were discharged after being cured by noon on November 19th. The other individual suffered from smoke inhalation, has high eye pressure, and exhibits headaches, but there is no life-threatening danger. In the afternoon of November 19th, due to the need for hyperbaric oxygen chamber treatment, this injured person was transferred to the nearby Binzhou City for further treatment.
The head of the local fire department introduced that the fire started on the first floor of the hotpot city and spread to the second floor. Due to timely rescue efforts, the area affected by the fire did not exceed 150 square meters, and the nearby shops sustained minimal damage. At the time of the incident, the casualties were all located on the fourth floor, and the cause of death was smoke poisoning and asphyxiation. Among the seven people rescued by the fire department, there was a 4-year-old child.
