Make music with a skateboard

The author of "Ephemeral Gumboots", Cobi van Tonder, has started creating a new work for ISEA2006 International Symposium of Electronic Art.

The project, called Skatesonic, uses the color nostalgia and motion of skateboards to create music by exploring their atmospheric rhythms in harmony. Thus, every motion is translated into a musical parameter, and the skateboarder rides on a sonic terrain (controlling the music in time as he/she rides).
