(I) How to Master Time

Time control in animation creation is a very critical but difficult to grasp content, and in many people's eyes, it is something that can only be understood but not expressed. Because time is malleable for animators, it can be compressed or expanded. Extreme freedom also means difficulty in control.

So how do you master time well?

Time control is an important part of animation work, it gives movement "meaning" or "content". Actions are not hard to complete; just draw two different positions for the same object and insert several in-betweens between them to generate motion. But this is not yet animation. In nature, objects are not just moving. Newton's first law of motion states that an object will not move on its own unless a force is applied to it. Therefore, in animation work, the importance of the action itself is only secondary; more importantly, it is necessary to express the force that causes the object to move...
