June 16 (People's Daily Online) -- According to British media reports, scientists who were examining the turbulent border area between Ecuador and Peru discovered 12 new species. Scientists including Jessica Dickman spent months in the Upper Nangaritza River Basin which is geographically isolated from other parts of the region, making it more likely for new species to be found.
