I have always liked Mr. Nan Huaijin's books, and I would flip through his book "The Original Meaning of the Great Learning" before going to sleep. In this book, Mr. Nan Huaijin annotates and explains "The Great Learning", and I feel very benefited from it. "The Great Learning" is a work by Zengzi, one of Confucius' seventy-two wise disciples. It mentions in the opening: The way of the Great Learning lies in manifesting the bright virtue, in loving the people, and in stopping at nothing less than the highest good. During the Spring and Autumn period, when one grew up to be 18 or 20 years old, they would tie up their hair and wear a hat, performing the coming-of-age ceremony, thus becoming a real adult and starting to learn the principles of adulthood.
