Plot Introduction:
In Madrid, Spain in the 1980s, Enrique (Ferran Martinez), a promising director is preparing for his next movie. At this time, he finds a theme that he has been longing for, a novel called "Journey". He also meets his childhood friend from his church school, Ignacio (Francesc Bayo). Ignacio's novel depicts a period of experience at the church school and together they recall their own history.
It dates back to 16 years ago, in the 1960s under Franco's rule in Spain, two little boys, Enrique and Ignacio met each other at the church school. Although the rigorous teaching style suppressed the children's desire to fly, they could still find their own happiness, especially movies. Their common love for movies made them close friends. But at the same time, they were sexually abused by Father Morro. This painful memory became a shadow of growth, affecting their lives afterwards.
Different fates change their lives and characters. They are no longer the two cute little boys in the church school, nor are they inseparable playmates. After meeting again twice in the late 1970s and 1980s, after some unpredictable things happened, Enrique found that Ignacio had changed a lot, although their shared experiences and friendship still connected them. As the movie begins, secrets are revealed, truths come to light, and everyone discovers their long-suppressed inner truth about the past and present.
