"Heroes" Volume 3: "Villains" will begin right after the Season 2 finale with the assassination of Nathan. Peter and Matt, who are present, are caught off guard and panic, forcing the press conference to end prematurely. Sylar, who has regained some of his abilities, decides once again to seek out cheerleader Claire in an attempt to steal her powers. Meanwhile, in Tokyo, Japan, Hiro and Ando uncover a family secret that could destroy the world, setting them up for another tough test in the future. A new character, Daphne, is introduced at this point. In New York, Suresh's research makes a significant breakthrough with the help of Maya, a breakthrough that could either change the world or destroy it entirely. Niki will reappear under the new identity of Tracy Strauss.
