The story begins with the last scene of "Resident Evil 1": Alice (Milla Jovovich), who has been forcibly put into hibernation for a long time, finally wakes up slowly, only to find that her greatest fear has already become a reality - the bloodthirsty undead zombies are all over the Raccoon City. Soon, Alice realizes that during the time she was "sleeping" at the secret research base of the Umbrella Chemical Company, she had unconsciously become the test subject for the scientists' study on bio-genetics. This gives her new powers and sensitivities. It is these unfamiliar new skills that save her life.
