The story begins with the last scene of "Resident Evil 1": Alice (Milla Jovovich) wakes up from a long enforced hibernation, only to find that her greatest fear has become a reality - Raccoon City is infested with bloodthirsty zombies. Soon, Alice realizes that during her unconsciousness in the secret research base of the "Umbrella" chemical company, she had unknowingly become a test subject for the scientists' study on biogenetics, which endowed her with new powers and agility.
