Synopsis:
Eight years ago, Peter was sentenced to prison for a violent crime. After being released from prison and returning home, he finds that the housing estate has changed a lot. In the upper village, there is a group of people led by Ma Jiao Hua, while in the lower village, there is Big Circle Han's gang committing crimes and acting arrogantly without restraint in the housing estate. Peter lives with his older sister who works as a dancer and makes a living, advising him not to cause any more trouble and to be a good person. She introduces him to work at her uncle's fish stall. Peter’s friend “Zi” has reformed himself, working as a broker in a car dealership and studying English at night in the community center, where he meets Miss Feng and starts pursuing her. Peter also meets “Zhen” at a dance party. Zhen comes from Mainland China and follows Big Circle Han’s life, preparing to immigrate to the United States, so she studies English at night school. Therefore, Peter becomes an eyesore for Big Circle Han. On the night of the dance party, Peter reunites with Zi and coincidentally encounters AIDS Lun. Lun is one of Ma Jiao Hua's subordinates, known for his tyranny and arrogance. Lun humiliates Peter. While drunk, Peter drives away Lun’s car and crashes it into the sea.
