Introduction:

As the name suggests, "The Grudge" draws its story from an intense anger whose ultimate purpose is revenge. Sometimes, it spreads like an epidemic in ways and at speeds you can't even imagine... "The Grudge" tells a tale of the most terrifying consequences brought about by a "curse," originating from the spirits of those who died unjustly and cannot rest in peace, having been burned alive in a house for reasons unknown. However, "every grievance has its origin, every debt its debtor," and when these aggrieved souls begin to attack people who have nothing to do with their deaths, the real disaster begins.

The story picks up right after the end of the first part: Aubrey Davis learns from her bedridden mother, Mrs. Davis, that her sister Karen is currently staying in a psychiatric hospital in Japan and is under police investigation for being suspected of involvement in the burning death of her boyfriend in a large house. Unable to make a long journey due to her severe illness, Mrs. Davis entrusts her youngest daughter Aubrey to go to Tokyo to bring Karen home. But shortly after arriving in Tokyo, Aubrey is warned by journalist Ethan that she and her sister Karen will be entangled by some unforeseeable and imperceptible danger...

In a high school in Tokyo, Alison has just arrived as an exchange student. She does everything possible to fit into the social circle led by Vanessa and Yuki. As long as she is treated kindly, Alison is willing to complete any task they propose, even if it means spending a night alone in the ruins of a burned-down house - where several unresolved murder cases and mysterious disappearances have occurred...

The sudden news of his father Billy's decision to marry Trish makes young Jack, who has always been introverted and shy, very unhappy because he is still grieving over his mother's death. What confuses him more is how his sister Lacey could so quickly accept their stepmother and get along well with her. But what intrigues him the most are the mysterious and elusive movements of the neighbors next door, giving him the feeling that everyone in the building where he lives is playing the role of a "stranger"...

These seemingly unrelated individuals will all face the threat of a terrible death curse, and it's clear that this curse is no longer confined to the burned-down house but has come out of it, attacking anyone indiscriminately.
