Synopsis:
The synopsis of the 156-episode South Korean drama "Lovely You" is as follows: The show revolves around themes such as marriage opposed by parents, infertility, divorce, and remarriage.
Gi-Jun and Hee-Joo are in a relationship. In-Young and Gi-Jun were elementary school classmates who reunite at a gathering organized by Sun-Mi and fall in love. Despite strong opposition from Gi-Jun's mother, they get married. After marriage, conflicts between their children and mother grow increasingly worse. Gi-Jun decides to move out and live separately. Since In-Young suffers from infertility, after several failed attempts at in-vitro fertilization, she decides to divorce Gi-Jun under pressure from his mother. Prior to this, In-Young had already met Jae-Min, the widower husband of "Dreaming Swan," who passed away from cancer. Jae-Min always thought that his deceased wife was the only love of his life, but after meeting In-Young, he begins to fall in love with her. Meanwhile, Gi-Jun and Hee-Joo reunite, but due to emotional differences, they end up getting divorced. At this point, a miracle happens: In-Young becomes pregnant with Gi-Jun's child. After wavering between Gi-Jun and Jae-Min, In-Young decides to let go of her feelings for Jae-Min and reunites with Gi-Jun! The love triangle in "Lovely You" is a great challenge for the actors. While the main love triangle unfolds, there's also a smaller one involving In-Young's younger brother In-Cheol and In-Young's best friend Sun-Mi, who eventually marry each other. In this complex story, some other characters worth mentioning include In-Young's aunt, grandfather, father, Gi-Jun's mother, aunt, uncle, sister, the daughter of Gi-Jun's aunt, Hee-Joo's father and mother, Jae-Min's deceased wife ("Dreaming Swan") and her adorable son.
