Synopsis:
The 1985 film "Cupid One" is an early work by internationally renowned director Ringo Lam, known for the "Iron Triangle" series, and it is one of the few romantic comedy films directed by Lam, who mainly focuses on action films. The film features stunning yachts and sea views as its backdrop and stars the popular handsome actor Zheng Haonan and beautiful actress Sandy Lam of that time.
Storyline:
On the day of May's (Sandy Lam) engagement to young shipping tycoon Danny (Chen Jiaqi), May encounters a flat tire on her way to the ceremony. While seeking help, she unexpectedly causes Zheng Haonan (as Qiang) and his girlfriend (Zuo Yanling) to fall down a hill with their car. Fortunately, no one is injured. Enraged, Qiang is about to confront May when she drives away. After the engagement, Danny reveals ulterior motives; while escaping, May accidentally falls into the water and, in a daze, climbs aboard the yacht "Cupid One" where she falls asleep. When she wakes up, she finds herself in the vast ocean, and the person before her turns out to be none other than Qiang from the previous day...
