[Plot Introduction]:
The drama is based on the traditional folk tale "The Story of Chunhyang" and gives it a new interpretation. It begins with Lee Mong-ryong transferring from Seoul to a high school in Namyuan, Jeolla Province. Chun-hyang falls for Mong-ryong, the son of the Namyuan police chief, and tutors him. With Chun-hyang's help, Mong-ryong successfully enters a key university, but after meeting his first love, Chae-lin, his heart wavers. Chun-hyang is deeply devoted to Mong-ryong. One day, Chun-hyang meets the owner of a famous artist management company, Byeon Hak-do. Hak-do had always been successful with any woman he pursued. But because Chun-hyang already has someone in her heart, no matter how hard Hak-do tries, she remains indifferent. This greatly hurts Hak-do's pride, and he determines to make Chun-hyang change her mind at all costs.
The production team points out that although Chun-hyang lives in the Joseon era, she is brave, loves who she loves, and cherishes and protects that love. Therefore, the production team believes that Chun-hyang from ancient folklore is a character perfectly suited for modern youth romance idol dramas, and places this character in a contemporary setting for a new interpretation and recreation. The drama boldly attempts a fusion TV drama style, combining American black rock music with traditional Korean opera in its background music.
