Introduction:

Big, a seemingly slow-witted giant who makes a living as a stripper, turns out to be a former monk with the extraordinary ability to see through karma. When he meets an ordinary policewoman, Lee Fung Yee (played by Cecilia Cheung), he uses "karma" to help her capture a murderer. Fung Yee discovers that Big was once a monk, who left the monastery stark naked after his friend was killed. Big tells her about the inescapable "karma" that has haunted him and destined him to die prematurely.

Falling in love with Big, Fung Yee decides to do the most meaningful thing in her life - to catch the killer of Big's friend. Big also resolves to defy the laws of karma and change the unchangeable destiny...
