Plot Summary:
Aya (played by Aaron Kwok) is a Chinese descendant born in Thailand. Orphaned at a young age due to the disappearance of his parents, he has always aspired to become a police officer. However, due to severe myopia, he was not accepted and eventually became a private detective out of necessity. To make ends meet, he handles small cases in Chinatown involving relationship disputes and petty thefts.
One day, Aya's friend Fatt Lung (played by Gordon Lam) asks him to investigate the whereabouts of a woman. The only clue is a partially burned photograph. Initially thinking it’s another case of a relationship dispute, as the investigation progresses, Aya realizes that things may not be as simple as they seem.
Aya seeks help from Feng Ze, who works at the police station. Unexpectedly, after Feng Ze learns about the case, he advises Aya to drop it immediately. At this point, those whom Aya had previously questioned begin to die mysteriously one by one, with all clues being systematically severed by an unseen hand. Determined to uncover the truth, Aya decides to continue his investigation no matter what.
