Synopsis:
Heavy Crimes Inspector Ma Jun (Donnie Yen), despite his extraordinary combat skills, has a star of conflict in his fate, leading to a life full of struggles...
The three Vietnamese gang brothers: the eldest Ah Zha (Ray Lui), domineering and powerful; the second brother Tony (David Chiang), calm and cunning; and the youngest brother Ah Hu (Yu Xingwu), undefeated in battles. The trio grows increasingly powerful in the underworld as they aim to eliminate their arch-enemy Old Gui Shan (Guobin Lin). In the midst of a bloody battle, just as success seems within reach, they never expected that their trusted bodyguard Hua Sheng (Louis Koo) was actually an undercover police officer planted by Ma Jun.
Inspector Ma's explosive methods are criticized by many, and the pain and responsibility are pushed onto Ma Jun. Finally, Ma Jun initiates an arrest operation. At this moment, Hua Sheng's undercover identity is exposed, and he is cruelly thrown off a vehicle, leaving him severely injured and unconscious.
