Plot Introduction:
In this installment, the setting shifts from Los Angeles to the oilfields of Kumah, a small Middle Eastern country; the battleground moves from skyscrapers to the desert. This is perhaps one of the biggest differences between this film and its predecessor—following current trends, the director relocates the action to the epicenter of global terror. Dudkowski (Bruce Willis) once again faces a group of highly trained terrorists alone. The police remain bureaucratic and ineffective, while the military's special forces are outright colluding with the terrorists.
This time, Dudkowski takes on the role of Ross, a special forces soldier stationed at an oilfield in Kumah. A group of heavily armed terrorists attacks the oilfield, taking American staff hostage. Ross manages to escape and tries to report the situation to his superiors but ends up being double-crossed by the CIA, leaving him in a dire predicament. Fortunately, he receives help from local resistance fighters. It turns out that the oilfield owner plans to control Kumah through kidnappings and terrorist activities, with high-ranking officials in the U.S. military also involved. Tribal wars and terrorist activities escalate, leading to intense and thrilling combat scenes as Ross fights alone to rescue the hostages from the terrorists. To counter the terrorists, Ross employs tactics even more ruthless than theirs, and so begins his mission...
