Introduction:
During the Vietnam War, Xiaoma and his cousin Zhimin worked as repair technicians in Hong Kong. With the situation in Vietnam being unstable, they raised funds to help Zhimin's father, Uncle Song, leave Saigon for Hong Kong. They took a dangerous risk by contacting the local big boss, Zhou Yingjie, to smuggle US dollars. However, they were ambushed by Bang, but luckily saved by Zhou Yingjie. During their acquaintance, Xiaoma and Yingjie developed mutual respect and affection for each other. Zhimin also began to admire Yingjie at this time, and the three of them spent a wonderful time together in Saigon. Soon, Xiaoma, Zhimin, and Uncle Song returned to Hong Kong. Due to carrying a large sum of money obtained at great risk, they faced difficulties with Vietnamese customs officers. Thanks to Zhou Yingjie's secret help, they successfully returned to Hong Kong. After returning to Hong Kong, Xiaoma and Zhimin opened an automobile repair shop. During this time, they kept inquiring about Yingjie's whereabouts. One day, Zhou Yingjie suddenly appeared before them. After surviving life-and-death situations together, all three were overjoyed. But Xiaoma, in order to avoid the awkward situation of both brothers loving the same woman, intentionally indulged himself, which deeply saddened Yingjie. Yingjie's ex-boyfriend, He Changqing, who had been missing for a long time, suddenly reappeared. After learning about the relationship between Xiaoma, Zhimin, and Yingjie, He Changqing wanted to kill the two but mistakenly killed Uncle Song and forced them to leave Hong Kong. Zhimin, realizing that Yingjie truly loved Xiaoma, tried hard to bring the two together. However, Yingjie believed that everything was due to her and decided to settle things once and for all with He Changqing. To transfer his business from Vietnam to Hong Kong, He Changqing returned to Saigon with Yingjie. Xiaoma, searching for Yingjie, also came to Saigon with Zhimin, risking their lives. Zhimin got into a conflict with Vietnamese soldiers while talking with Yingjie and went missing. Xiaoma mistakenly thought that Zhimin died because of Yingjie and left angrily after a quarrel with her. After surviving the ordeal and being severely injured, Zhimin revealed the truth to Xiaoma. Xiaoma, filled with love and hatred, sought out He Changqing for revenge. At this time, during a shootout between Bang and He Changqing during their transaction, Yingjie made a homemade bomb intending to die with He Changqing, but was discovered by him. In the chaos, Yingjie was severely injured, and He Changqing was killed by Bang. In the end, Xiaoma eliminated Bang. As Saigon fell into the hands of the Viet Cong, Xiaoma and Zhimin carried the seriously injured Yingjie through gunfire to escape to the airport and leave Saigon. Under the glow of the setting sun, Yingjie died in Xiaoma's arms.
