Plot Summary:

The story takes place in the 1990s, a time when heinous crimes were rampant. Han Kyung-pae (played by Sol Kyung-gu), a news anchor at a TV station, finds his 9-year-old son, Sang-woo, mysteriously missing. At this moment, the kidnapper (played by Kang Dong-won) makes a ransom call, demanding an exorbitant 1 billion KRW with no room for negotiation. Han Kyung-pae’s wife, Oh Ji-sun (played by Kim Nam-ju), is beside herself with worry. With no other options, they report the case to the police, and the detective (played by Kim Yeong-cheol), who is fully responsible for the case, enters their lives.
