When creating a webpage, the thing that troubles me the most is not the layout design, but the color coordination, or the implementation of web page color schemes. A good color scheme can make your website pages well-structured and provide a comfortable visual experience; reasonable color combinations can leave a deeper impression on visitors than the content of the webpage itself. In fact, the first impression that general visitors get when opening your webpage does not come directly from your site's content, but rather from a combination of factors such as page colors, images, animations, and text colors that are reasonably coordinated, which ultimately determine their liking or disliking of the website. Visitors can judge whether they like or dislike the page within a very short browsing time, so the first impression of a webpage is extremely important!
Of course, this does not mean that as long as the page looks good, the quality of the content can be ignored. It’s not about that. The first impression is like the storefront, while engaging content satisfies visitors' need for relevant information. Both are indispensable.
When choosing a color scheme, you should first determine the audience of your website. Two questions need to be clarified: one, who is your website targeted at, or in other words, who is it for? Second, who actually visits your website, and what attracts them to your site? Of these two points, the first one relates to color coordination and should have been clear when you were setting up your website. Only by having a clear target can you design a relatively professional webpage color scheme. For example, if you want to create a website about "red revolutionary memories," your website's color scheme shouldn't lean towards fresh and elegant colors, as this would obviously contradict the effect you wish to achieve. Similarly, if you want to create a website about spring, using black as the main color would only make visitors feel the chill of winter prematurely.
Each time I create a template, I always spend a lot of time considering the color scheme, thinking about how to achieve the best visual effect. Here is a relatively simple and practical method: draw inspiration from other websites, especially large ones, for their color schemes, then take some time to delve into them, and you will surely gain a lot.
