FBR Captial market analyst Craig Berger noted in a Wednesday missive to clients that Apple's suppliers are confirming iPod unit sales growth of 15% quarter-over-quarter in Q2, or 35% sequentially.

Growth was seen across the Shuffle, Classic and Nano lines while the Touch declined, with much of the increase coming from the Shuffle, the analyst wrote.

Berger did not specify why iPod touch unit sales fell, though some potential buyers may be holding off on purchases in anticipation of the next-generation iPhone.

The analyst also noted that iPhone orders were reduced by 10% compared to March, but he expects shipments to soar 250% to 3 million units as Apple builds inventory for the iPhone 3G launch.

Meanwhile, Mac unit sales were slightly down in the quarter, with the largest declines seen in the high-end MacBook Pro line.
