Today, foreign media BGR exclusively reported that the next generation iPhone, namely iPhone5, will be redesigned and is expected to be released in the fall of 2012, around the same time as iPhone4S.

According to the report, the bezel on the front of the iPhone5 will be made of rubber or plastic materials, just like the iPhone3GS. The advantage of this is that it can combine the touch screen with the aluminum back plate while covering a redesigned antenna system. This antenna system will surround the entire phone (similar to the Bumper case). Simply put, there's no need to add an extra piece of black plastic to cover the antenna, like the iPad2 does. Most rumors about the iPhone5 previously claimed that it would come with a 4-inch touchscreen and feature an aluminum backshell similar to the iPad2.
