Apple held a press conference at its headquarters yesterday. The main agenda was to announce the software development roadmap for the iPhone. During the conference, Apple showcased the enterprise functions of the iPhone and released the iPhone SDK software package. Apple announced that since its launch in the middle of last year until now, the iPhone has captured 28% of the U.S. smartphone market share, only behind RIM BlackBerry's 41%. Across the United States, 71% of mobile internet traffic comes from the iPhone. More importantly, the iPhone SDK is released! Other companies can now program and create software for the iPhone!
