Reporters learned from the China CCC Product Certification Platform yesterday that Apple's iPad 2 has passed China's 3C certification, with a certificate issuance date of April 8. The applicant and manufacturer for this application are Apple Inc., while the production plant is Foxconn's Longhua branch in Shenzhen. This means that Apple can already launch the iPad 2 in the Chinese mainland market.

Relevant personnel from Apple stated that they hope to provide the iPad 2 to domestic users as soon as possible, but the exact timing has yet to be determined.

Analysts from Analysys International believe that based on previous situations, if everything goes smoothly, the WiFi version of the iPad 2 could be available in the market by May, whereas the 3G version will need to pass through additional certification from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, which may take significantly longer.
